Sin and comedy collide at Las Vegas’ newest show — “Sin City Comedy!”
“Sin City Comedy” opens at the V Theater May 15, 2009
For Immediate Release: 2009 (LAS VEGAS) — Putting the sin back into Sin City, “Sin City Comedy” is at the V Theater with performances nightly at 9 p.m. This comedy show that contains a touch of burlesque will feature nationally known headliner comedians as seen on HBO, Showtime, “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and “Late Show with David Letterman.”
Emmy Award-winning writer and comedian John Padon is the producer of “Sin City Comedy” after headlining around the world and anchoring numerous Las Vegas productions including “X” and “The History of Sex.” “It’s time to tear down that ubiquitous ‘brick wall,’ shake things up and bring comedy and sin back together like they used to and should be,” Padon says of the new show. “This is going to be one hell of an entertaining show. There won’t be any French people doing flips, mind you, but we’re not gonna kick you in the wallet either. Now that’s a stimulus package.”
“Sin City Comedy” targets the millions of Las Vegas visitors each year who are looking for solid entertainment for a reasonable ticket price. “Sin City Comedy” also focuses on local Las Vegans, who will always enjoy 2 for 1 tickets as well as other special nights and promotions with local radio and print media.
Putting the “sin back in”
Burlesque has had a hand in comedy since its beginnings in the 1840s when scantily clad ladies regaled audiences with bawdy jokes. “Sin City Comedy” returns audiences to that glamorous era of show biz but with a contemporary twist with two burlesque girls who sing, dance and perform stunning aerials over the audience. “Since this town is being overrun by Cirque shows, apparently people like to see beautiful girls doing flips. We don’t argue; we entertain, and for a third the price, leaving you plenty of money to sin some more after the show,” Padon says. “And you don’t have to get permission from Obama or your mama! Now that will definitely bring a stimulus to your package!” “Since this town is being overrun by Cirque shows, apparently people like to see beautiful girls doing flips. Montreal, Wednesday April 22th, 2009 – On Friday April 24th, the heavenly voice of the Canadian singer of Italian origin Giorgia Fumanti will be heard once again in China at the2010 Shanghai World Expo One-Year Countdown mega-concert, in which she will be singing the Shanghai World Expo theme song (Better City, Better Life) in a duo performance with the famous Chinese baritone Liao Changyong, to be broadcast on May 1st. Over the years, Giorgia Fumanti has become throughout the world one of our greatest ambassadors. She will also be singing two other songs, in solo, as part of a television show presented by Dragon TV, the Shanghai World Expo Bureau, the Art Channel of Shanghai Media Group, the Fairchild Media Group and CBC that will be viewed by more than 20 million people in China alone. Giorgia will also star in a music video /TV trailer singing the theme song, which will air from May 2009 to 2010.
Giorgia Fumanti’s voice will “be heard once again in China”. The truth is, the Chinese have sort of adopted her, as this will not be her first visit to the Middle Kingdom. She had already captivated close to a billion viewers at the Beijing Olympic Games.
Giorgia will also be appearing in the upcoming advertising campaign for the prestigiousChina Mobile Company. In fact, she recently recorded the Nan Ni Wan song (in Mandarin!), a traditional Chinese song that will be the focus of this campaign aimed at promoting the 60th anniversary of the New China ‘Red’ Song Collection. This recording will be available at 12530.com and baidu.com, in the popular Migu Music magazine (a free CD of the Nan Ni Wan song will be included in the magazine) as well as a Wap On Mobile Phone cell phone ring tone.
Giorgia Fumanti possesses the voice, the stage presence and the charisma that characterises great artists who can both seduce and mesmerise through their strength and their elegance. On April 24th, Giorgia’s participation in the 2010 Shanghai World Expo One-Year Countdown mega-concert promises to be indisputably highly delightful, and this, both musically and vocally.
