Montreal, Wednesday April 22th, 2009 – On Friday April 24th, the heavenly voice of the Canadian singer of Italian origin Giorgia Fumanti will be heard once again in China at the2010 Shanghai World Expo One-Year Countdown mega-concert, in which she will be singing the Shanghai World Expo theme song (Better City, Better Life) in a duo performance with the famous Chinese baritone Liao Changyong, to be broadcast on May 1st. Over the years, Giorgia Fumanti has become throughout the world one of our greatest ambassadors. She will also be singing two other songs, in solo, as part of a television show presented by Dragon TV, the Shanghai World Expo Bureau, the Art Channel of Shanghai Media Group, the Fairchild Media Group and CBC that will be viewed by more than 20 million people in China alone. Giorgia will also star in a music video /TV trailer singing the theme song, which will air from May 2009 to 2010.

Giorgia Fumanti’s voice will “be heard once again in China”. The truth is, the Chinese have sort of adopted her, as this will not be her first visit to the Middle Kingdom. She had already captivated close to a billion viewers at the Beijing Olympic Games.

Giorgia will also be appearing in the upcoming advertising campaign for the prestigiousChina Mobile Company. In fact, she recently recorded the Nan Ni Wan song (in Mandarin!), a traditional Chinese song that will be the focus of this campaign aimed at promoting the 60th anniversary of the New China ‘Red’ Song Collection. This recording will be available at 12530.com and baidu.com, in the popular Migu Music magazine (a free CD of the Nan Ni Wan song will be included in the magazine) as well as a Wap On Mobile Phone cell phone ring tone.

Giorgia Fumanti possesses the voice, the stage presence and the charisma that characterises great artists who can both seduce and mesmerise through their strength and their elegance. On April 24th, Giorgia’s participation in the 2010 Shanghai World Expo One-Year Countdown mega-concert promises to be indisputably highly delightful, and this, both musically and vocally.
